Multiple law enforcement and emergency response agencies converged on the Gretna area Wednesday night.

Virginia State Police authorities on the scene would not provide details on the situation as of approximately 7:30 p.m.

A line of law enforcement and emergency response vehicles was observed heading along Pittsville Road with lights heading past Pittsville Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Ambulances staged in the church parking lot, as well as fire trucks.

There are sheriff’s office vehicles from Amherst and Bedford counties on the scene as well.
