A popular indie rock band is back with its first new song in nearly a decade.

The Temper Trap released “Lucky Dimes” on Wednesday, marking the Australian music group’s first original single since 2016.

“Good to know that 9 years after the last one, we still have something to say,” said singer-guitarist Dougy Mandagi. “It’s been an absolute pleasure creating this record and we can’t wait to share it with you, not to relive the past but to write the next chapter.”

According to Billboard , the new song, produced by Grammy nominee Styalz Fuego (Charli XCX, Troye Sivan) features a "heavier edge... thanks to frenetic guitarwork and thumping percussion." The band also released a music video directed by fellow Melbourne creative Joey Clough.
