It won’t be much, but there is some rain in the forecast tomorrow.
A cold front will be moving across parts of central and the Avalon, bringing with it some showers and a reprieve from the extreme heat.
Environment Canada meteorologist Robert Grove says parts of central are in for about 10 – 20 mm of rain with lesser amounts on the Avalon.
Showers will begin tomorrow afternoon and continue overnight before ending Saturday morning. He says it may be on the warm side tomorrow, however the forecasted high for Saturday is in the high teens.
As for today, a shift in the winds means smoke from the wildfires burning at Paddy’s Pond and Conception Bay North will be drifting into the northern Avalon.
