WETHERSFIELD, CT (WFSB) - State leaders are working to figure out how to keep bikers safe on the roads.
This comes as 2025 is proving to be one of the most dangerous for bikers and pedestrians.
Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz was expected to meet with local police officers on Thursday to discuss bike safety.
As of August, there have been 744 accidents in Connecticut.
However, the beginning of the year was particularly dangerous for bikers.
A man was struck and killed by a car on January 11 in Glastonbury.
The following day, a woman was killed by a car in Rocky Hill .
This all happened right after a deadly 2024 for bikers and pedestrians.
