EAST WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) - Several areas in the state had some cleaning up to do on Thursday following storms that rolled through on Wednesday.

In East Windsor, tree limbs were reported on the ground.

They forced the closure of a portion of Main Street. It has since reopened.

In Granby, crews needed a crane to remove a tree from the roof of a home.

Meteorologist Scot Haney said parts of the state saw several inches of rain from the storms.

“We told you that was coming, we showed you that marginal risk category for severe weather, and that came to fruition,” Haney said.

Middlebury reported 4.67 inches of rain.

South Windsor had about 3.5 inches while Naugatuck had 3.35 inches.
