Jett Williams hit his first Triple-A home run, taking an 0-2 pitch to the opposite field, juuuuuust clearing the wall, but it counts just the same. Carson Benge went 2-4 as he hit the ground running at Syracuse, hitting .429 with a .929 OPS at the level. Luisangel Acuña also had two hits. Kevin Hergert opened the game with two perfect frames with three strikeouts.

After that? Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

The Mets gave up 14 runs, and five relievers (and Luke Ritter, who threw the final two frames) all gave up at least two runs, with four of them (one being Ritter) giving up at least two runs. It was not a good day. • 2B Luisangel Acuña: 2-4
