Drivers have been told to allow extra time for journeys around University Hospital Coventry . Roadworks are currently in place and are expected to last until Saturday (August 16).

Coventry City Council said they are working to 'improve access' to the major NHS facility in Walsgrave . Work is underway on improving the exit route so that people can get in and out 'more safely.'

As part of the improvements, a new left filter at the signals will be introduced. Detectors at Belgrave Road and the existing pedestrian crossing on Clifford Bridge Road will also be enhanced.

Temporary traffic lights have been installed around University Hospital Coventry . Disruption is expected over the coming days, with people told to allow extra time for their journeys.
