Pizza place fails inspection with dirty ovens, food debris and uncovered/unprotected food

One restaurant on Broad Street failed its health inspection after dirty pizza ovens, food debris buildup, and unprotected food items were found.

Crust Pizza on Broad Street received a 67.

The inspector noted that the filter and the hood were dirty over the pizza oven as well as a buildup of food debris on the pizza oven rollers.

The inspector also stated that there were severely dented canned goods in the dry storage area and they were not of sound condition as well as uncovered and unprotected food items in the dry storage area.

The inspector noted that the sanitizer levels were less than required and the food in the walk in cooler was not being held at the correct temperature. The inspector also stated that there was no hand soap at the handwashing station.
