An updated severe thunderstorm warning was released by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 6:58 p.m. in effect until 7:15 p.m. for Hudson and Union counties.

Residents should be prepared for wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

"At 6:58 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over the East Village, moving east at 25 mph," explains the weather service. "Expect damage to trees and power lines."
