CINCINNATI (WXIX) - The downtown Cincinnati “violent attack” that has drawn national attention to the city was started by two men who told some of the victims before pummeling them WWE wrestling style, “they were at the wrong party” and to “get off the street,” a prosecutor said in court Thursday.

Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Kip Guinan also insisted the man seen on viral videos of the incident, slapping one of the suspects, did that after someone was already beaten.

He also revealed that “no one” has seen all the videos except him and the police investigators.

Those remarks came after Brandon Fox, defense attorney for Jermaine Matthews told the judge his client “was slapped by a white man who has not been charged.”

But Guinan said Matthews “was the man that started it.”
