CINCINNATI (WXIX) - For nearly 20 years, Cincinnati’s Fountain Square has been the home of the city’s outdoor holiday ice skating rink. That home will change this upcoming season, 3CDC announced Thursday.
Starting this year, the city’s annual ice skating rink will have a new home at the brand-new 2.5-acre Elm Street Plaza, an outdoor park right next to the renovated Duke Energy Convention Center.
From mid-November into February, visitors will see a different and bigger version of the city’s winter wonderland with a larger ice skating rink, an upgraded warming tent, igloos and firepits all around.
