CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati City Council member under fire for comments she made about the viral videos of the Downtown violent attack, saying those who were assaulted “begged for that beat down” has now quit a county board.

Victoria Parks resigned Wednesday from the Hamilton County Veterans Services Commission, according to a copy of the letter she wrote County Commissioner President Denise Driehaus.

FOX19 NOW submitted a request for the public record and received it minutes later.

Her letter does not address her controversial post.

It states:
