Motorcyclist dies in Longmeadow collision with pickup doing U

LONGMEADOW ― A motorcyclist died in Longmeadow on Tuesday after colliding with a pickup truck exiting an emergency turnaround Interstate 91 North.

Hampden District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni expressed his condolences to the victim’s family Thursday . The victim hasn’t been identified.

Preliminary findings suggest the pickup truck, a 2023 Ford Maverick, was traveling south through construction traffic when its driver crossed into the northbound side using the emergency turnaround, Gulluni said.
