Kid Cudi has opened up about being dissed by Drake while he was in rehab for drug addiction.

Drake took aim at Cudi on 2016 track “Two Birds, One Stone” which mocked the “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper’s struggles with mental health, a move which was poorly received by fans.

Speaking to CBS Mornings, Cudi detailed his reaction to the song: “I was like, oh okay, you wanna kick me when I’m down. Great. But he wanted to play the game with me. He wanted me to put him in my song or whatever and I’m not that type of artist.”

He then explained that he never intended to respond to Drake on record: “I’m not going to the studio angry rapping about some other man and putting him in my art. That’s not what we’re gonna do here. I’m gonna come to your doorstep and I’mma let you know that I’mma see you.
