LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington police officers and emergency personnel are at the scene of a crash on I-75, with commuters told to expect delays as a result.

It happened at the 99.2-mile marker near the bridge, according to Lexington Emergency Management. Around 11 a.m., traffic has been diverted to Athens Exit 104 until further notice.

There were injuries in the crash, LPD officers said.

"Anyone traveling in the area should expect delays and use an alternative route," department officials wrote. "Please follow all directions given by officers."

Officers said more information about the injury crash and the duration of the I-75 closure will be released as it becomes available.
