NICHOLAS COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Nearly 40% of Nicholas County power customers are without electricity on Wednesday, with the city of Carlisle's water plant unable to process water.
City leaders announced on social media around 11 a.m., asking residents to conserve water due to the outage.
Meanwhile, school leaders in Nicholas County posted on Facebook that students are safe on each campus.
"Our staff is continuing normal supervision, and all safety protocols are in place," Nicholas County Schools wrote. "We will provide updates as soon as we have more information."
