SPENCER, Iowa ( KUOO ) - The new emergency room at Spencer Hospital opened to patients Wednesday morning, Aug. 13.

The hospital spent years planning for and constructing the new space which offers increased privacy, comfort and efficiency to support the hospital’s ongoing commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Hospital leaders say the new emergency department strengthens their ability to deliver timely and expert emergency services.
