A fire service has issued an urgent warning after a large wildfire ripped through woodland in Cannock Chase .
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has launched a probe into the blaze which happened on land off Penkridge Bank shortly before 4pm yesterday, August 13.
Eight fire engines and two water carriers rushed to the scene of the blaze which measured approximately 100 by 100 metres.

Crews used beaters and main jets to tackle the inferno.
Thankfully, nobody was reported as injured.
The fire service has now issued a warning urging people to stay safe during the rest of the summer.
