SUMTER COUNTY, Ga. — Three people were arrested for allegedly shooting a man in Sumter County shooting, according to The Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI said, on Saturday, Aug. 2, Americus Police officers had arrived at the 100 block of Knollwood Drive to find a man from Desoto, Georgia, with a gunshot wound. He was brought to Phoebe Sumter Hospital and later transferred to Phoebe Putney in Albany, Georgia.
The release said the Americus Police Department contacted the GBI to assist in their investigation. On Friday, Aug. 8, the GBI and several other agencies assisted in arresting Ashton Pride, 20, and Micah Stephens, 19, in connection with the shooting.
According to the release, on Monday, they arrested Arderion Jones, 17, in connection with the shooting.
