1. Get to stepping on a hike

Located 32 miles from Charlotte, this Crowders Mountain state park offers a diverse menu of things to do. For starters, the park has amazing mountain views. Take a short hike to the peak to see Charlotte’s skyline. Speaking of trails, the park offers more than 10 trails, labeled from easy to moderate to strenuous. If hiking is not your thing, bird watching, fishing, camping and picnicking are good alternatives.
