The Ladies Love Cool James, and now he'll be the host of the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards.
The last time LL Cool J graced the VMAs stage was in 2022, when he served as a co-emcee with Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow.
He's also a part of VMA history; in 1997, he was the first rapper to receive the ceremony's illustrious Video Vanguard Award.
As for this year's nominees, Lady Gaga leads the pack with 12 nods, while her "Die With a Smile" collaborator Bruno Mars comes in second place with 11 nominations.
The 2025 MTV VMAs will air live on Sept. 7 on CBS for the first time ever. It will also be simulcast on MTV and will stream on Paramount+. The ceremony will be held at the UBS Arena in New York.
