The Bristol County Water Authority finds itself in an unenviable predicament as it pertains to the status of the two historic buildings fronting its Child Street location in Warren.

Those who lead the entity want to do right by the structures, built in 1883 and 1907, respectively, but are having a hard time doing so.

The BCWA recently initiated a Request for Proposal (RFP) process, which began on June 10 and was set to end on Thursday, Aug. 14, but according to Executive Director Steve Coutu it hasn't resonated in the slightest.

"We haven't had a very strong response," Coutu said, bluntly. "None actually."

The parcel on offer is 4 acres in total size and is located in the Town of Warren's “C” – Conservation Zoning District and within the Kickemuit Overlay Zone. There are
