The impact happened shortly before 5pm today (August 14) at the junction of Dalston Lane and Ramsgate Road, near Dalston Junction station.

The driver of the car, a 70-year-old man, was treated for shock by the London Ambulance Service.

There were no other injuries and the road is closed while police enquiries continue.
