BUCKEYE, Ariz. — A man has been sentenced to prison for crashing a car into a Buckeye apartment as he was attacking his girlfriend.

Keith Auzenne, 38, was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping, aggravated assault and unlawful use of a vehicle, according to the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

On Sept. 2, 2024, the defendant got into an argument with his girlfriend as she was driving a vehicle. When the woman stopped and tried to exit, Auzenne forced her into the backseat and took control of the car, prosecutors said.

The defendant then began driving at speeds exceeding 100 mph while holding his girlfriend down. The vehicle hit a curb and went airborne before crashing through a brick wall and hitting the exterior of an apartment unit near Baseline and
