(NewsNation) — A Washington, D.C., man accused of throwing a sandwich at a Customs and Border Protection agent was charged with assaulting a federal officer Wednesday.
The man, who officials identified as 37-year-old Sean Charles Dunn, was charged with "felony assault on a federal officer," FBI Director Kash Patel said in a social media post.
The incident, which was captured on video and went viral, occurred late Sunday as the White House ramped up law enforcement patrols in Washington this week.
