NEW YORK STATE (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) -- Starting in September, Governor Kathy Hochul's plan to eliminate cell phone use in schools goes into full effect, and all schools were allowed to enact their own plans to comply with the mandate.

On Thursday, August 14, the Governor's Office implemented a website to give parents the information they need as the first day of school gets closer. What follows are the policies from local schools, as well as what you and your student needs to know about the upcoming school year.
