FARGO — Jeremiah Program Fargo is hosting a free community conversation focused on parenting.

"During These Turbulent Times: How We Parent Matters" takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Dakota Medical Foundation, 4321 20th Ave. S., in Fargo.

Dr. Janice Johnson Dias, author of "Parent Like It Matters: How to Raise Joyful, Change-Making Girls," is the featured speaker, a Jeremiah Program news release said.

The event will explore how intentional parenting can nurture not just happy children but young people equipped to make meaningful change — and how social determinants like housing, education, health care and economic opportunity shape a parent's ability to support kids effectively.
