EAST FLATBUSH — SOUTHERN FAST-FOOD CHAIN Bojangles will open its first Brooklyn location later this year, bringing its fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits and sweet tea to East Flatbush, reports PIX News 11 .

The new store marks the company’s return to New York City after a brief 1980s stint and is part of a broader regional push: a new franchise deal calls for at least 50 locations across the NYC area.

“From its delicious chicken, biscuits, and breakfast to its incredible franchisee support system, I couldn’t be more proud to lead Bojangles’ growth in New York City,” franchise owner-operator Habib Hashimi stated.

The rollout is slated to start this winter, with additional sites to follow.
