The summer of our discontent: Hot, dry and weird, but not a record-setter
It doesn't take much to get everybody talking about the weather. Right now it's all about how hot and dry it is here in Western New York. Then, after the laments about sweltering nights and wilting gardens, a few questions start coming to mind.

So how hot is it, really?
According to data from the National Weather Service, Buffalo's summertime average temperatures range from about 54 to 72 degrees in the beginning of June, peak at 64 to 81 degrees in mid July and then fall back to 59 to 77 degrees by the end of the August before we start seeing fall temperatures.
