CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down in New London early Wednesday morning.

The EF-1 tornado had 90 mph winds and was on the ground in Huron County for just one minute.

The tornado touched down at 2:04 a.m. and lifted at 2:05 a.m.

Even though it was not on the ground for very long, the tornado did quite a bit of damage.

According to the National Weather Service, the tornado damaged the New London Recreation Area near the small baseball field.

One of the bullpens was reportedly blown over.

The tornado moved northeast, snapping a large tree in the Grove Street Cemetery.

Other large tree limbs in the cemetery were also broken.

The storm then moved into the residential area of New London where it brought down more large tree to
