An internal review is underway after an explosion temporarily shut down the Indiana American Water Treatment Plant in Noblesville Aug. 7.
“We are still (awaiting) some of the results of our review of how this unfortunate event occurred,” Indiana American Water External Affairs Manager Joel Reuter said. “Details about it and our findings won’t be available for some time.”
The explosion happened just after 1 p.m. The Noblesville Fire Department responded, and a temporary shelter-in-place order was issued in the surrounding area, where there are several residences and businesses.
Upon arrival, firefighters located one adult male victim seated on the sidewalk outside the structure. He was evaluated and transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis for observation. Reuter said he has
