BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Two women are facing neglect charges following the death of a 3-year-old Bloomington girl Wednesday.
Deputies conducted a wellness check on the girl at a home on North Thomas Road on Friday, Aug. 8. When they arrived, they found the child was unconscious and not breathing.
The girl was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital by ambulance and was later flown to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis that same day. She died at the hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
The next day, detectives arrested a 27-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman, both of Bloomington, on preliminary felony charges of neglect of a dependent.

The women were booked into the Monroe County Corr
