GREENWOOD, Ind. — Police are looking for the person who vandalized a sign at a Hindu temple in Greenwood.

The temple's national organization said vandalism to their facilities has been a frequent occurrence this year.

Police say officers responded to the area of the temple Monday afternoon after reports of a sign being vandalized near U.S. 31.

When officers arrived, they say they found the sign spray-painted with the phrase, "Death to Hindus, death to India, death to prime minister."

Members of the temple held a group prayer Tuesday, saying they are united in their stand against anti-religious behavior.
