The City of Madison announced the opening of south Union Avenue and most of Highland Avenue in an Aug. 14 press release as its infrastructure improvements continue to progress.
As the project enters its next phase, the intersection of southwest First Street and Highland Avenue was closed on Aug. 13 to allow for the installation of sanitary sewer lines and other essential utility upgrades. Moreover, Farmers Avenue from southwest First Street to southwest Third Street will be closed Aug. 14 through an estimated Sept. 8 for railroad crossing repair work to be conducted by the Madison Farmers Elevator. ×
