LINCOLN, Neb. —

The University of Nebraska Board of Regents met Thursday to tackle a variety of things.

One of those is the current budget shortfall the system is facing .

NU President Jeffrey Gold said nothing has changed from the regents meeting in June, where they approved a 5% tuition hike for students coming into this academic school year.

In June, Gold called it a necessary step to balance the appropriation from the state. Thursday, he said the university will just have to live with it.
