Colleagues of a University of Nebraska regent charged with a DUI say they are standing by her.
Thursday was the first NU Board of Regents meeting since Regent Elizabeth O'Connor was charged around two weeks ago. She attended and participated.
O'Connor is accused of driving drunk in May with a blood alcohol level of 0.321%, four times the legal limit. She's accused of causing a crash that broke the back of a passenger in another vehicle near 63rd and Blondo streets in Omaha.

When asked by KETV, Regents Paul Kenney and Barbara Weitz each said they are supporting O'Connor after she went through difficult things in her personal life.
