OMAHA, Neb. —

Residents in the metro had the chance to "ketchup" with the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile at The Hy-Vee near 96th and Q streets.

People were able to see the history of the Wienermobile and also get their picture taken with it.

And some, like Joey Kirkle, have waited their whole lives to see the food-themed vehicle.

"There have been a few dreams, a few thoughts. But this is the first time I've actually encountered it. Life changing stuff. It's, it's a lifelong weight off of my shoulders. I got, a wiener whistle that I can use, and I have the stories to tell my future grandchildren," Kirkle said.

Don't worry if you missed the Wienermobile on Thursday, it will be at the Omaha Storm Chasers game on Friday.
