BELLEVUE, Neb. —

Rep. Mike Flood was in Bellevue on Thursday, and KETV caught up with the congressman to talk about several things that are impacting Nebraskans.

Flood said we need to see progress when it comes to tariffs, and he hopes the president will get this wrapped up by the end of this year.

He added that he is also excited about things that are in the works.

But according to the Labor Department, prices rose faster for producers than consumers in July, suggesting U.S. importers may be eating the cost of Trump's tariffs rather than the customers.

Flood said he hopes there are no increases to inflation but that if it opens Nebraska products to global markets, it will be worth it.
