CBS Atlanta wants its viewers to know that it’s hiring, what it said is a “team deeply connected to the city and its surrounding communities.”

Beginning Saturday, August 16, the switch to CBS Atlanta (WUPA, channel 69) will happen and on Monday, August 18, viewers will see local weather coverage during CBS MORNINGS, ahead of the station’s full news launch in September.

“We aren’t just hiring a team – we are building one from the community,” said Jennifer Mitchell , president of CBS Stations. “They’re here to listen, serve and tell stories that matter.”
