JUNIATA COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) -- PennDOT road work will impact traffic on four bridges on Route 22 this weekend.

This will be on U.S. Route 22 in Fermanagh and Walker Townships in Juniata County.

PennDOT says they will be working on high-friction surface applications on four bridges -- two crossing Cross Street near Mifflintown and two crossing Doe Run Road and Doe Run in Walker Township.

Work will take place on Friday, August 15, and Saturday, August 16.

The work, PennDOT says, will increase skid resistance on those bridges and enhance safety.

There will be single-lane closures on both sides of Route 22 while the work is ongoing and work will take two days to complete.
