GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Aquinas College students were among the first in the Grand Rapids area to move into their dorms as freshmen students flocked to campus Thursday morning.
SUVs, station wagons, vans and sedans came full of emotional parents and their prodigies.
"I've been just trying not to tear up," Bob Espy, father of incoming freshman Lauren Espy said. "She has always been a strong individual. I call her my baby shark. I want her to find who she is now."
"I'm kind of nervous," Lauren Espy said. "I hope I find a sense of what I want my life to end up like."
"I hope she finds a community," dad added.
Community should be easy to find at Aquinas this year as the school welcomes its largest class of freshmen since 2018. It follows the highest number of applications they ever r
