Three people want to become the next Mayor of Madison, AL. Mayor Paul Finley announced that he would not seek a fourth term in October 2024 to spend more time with his family.
Finsley has served as mayor on and off since 2008, opting not to seek reelection in 2012 but was elected again in 2016 and 2020.
The position is open for Renae Bartlett, M. Margi Daly or Steve Smith to fill. Whichever candidate wins must tackle the most pressing problems facing the city.
City elections will be held Aug. 26.
