Jared Schumacher will be the new town administrator of Mount Airy, the Town Council decided at a special town meeting on Wednesday.

The council voted unanimously to confirm the appointment of Schumacher, who currently works as the grants manager for the Westminster Rescue Mission, according to his LinkedIn profile.
