LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At the same school bus stop that saw gunshots ring out nearby on the first day of school, dozens of people now stand, mourning the death of 23-year-old Redaja Williams.

Williams was shot and killed while walking her child to her bus stop, but her killer has not been caught.

On Thursday, several of Williams’ family members spoke about the tragedy, saying the community isn’t doing enough to prevent the next one from happening.

“I’m outraged. Not just today for Redaja, but for every child whose family I’ve comforted.
