LOUISVILLE, Ky. — With concerns over minors’ safety making recent headlines in Louisville, the Kentucky State Fair isn’t taking any chances, keeping its heightened security measures in place to ensure a family-friendly environment.
“Over 500 lenses, gates and lane access around the property is being actively monitored,” said Ian Cox, Kentucky State Fair and Kentucky Venues spokesperson. “In the event we saw someone running the gate, a vehicle going through without paying, we’d be able to identify that vehicle and the license plate for our investigation.”
This heightened security is part of a broader push for safety the fair strives for each year.
The fair also requires that minors under 18 be accompanied by an adult over 21 at night and on weekends. This move has garnered mixed reaction
