Think you can hire Americans to do agricultural work? The North Carolina Growers Association advertised some thousands of jobs in 2011 for Americans only. They received only a few hundred applicants of which only 245 were hired.

More than half quit after a month and seven worked the entire season.

If you don’t use migrant labor then crops rot in the fields, you have to import and prices increase. Good plan.
