TOWN OF RIDGEWAY, Wis. (WKOW) — A Madison man was arrested after a high-speed pursuit that involved a construction zone in Iowa County on Tuesday.

An Iowa County sheriff's sergeant stopped Jeremy T. Brown, 30, on U.S. Highway 18/151 in the town of Ridgeway, about a mile east of County Highway Z, according to a press release.

The stop began at about 5:13 p.m. The sergeant spoke with Brown and obtained his information. Then, Brown sped away from the scene.

The pursuit continued briefly but was terminated when the Brown's vehicle entered a construction zone where workers were present. Brown drove in the closed portion of the highway toward four construction workers before changing his course and continuing through the area.
