City of Reno boards and commissions are expected to resume after the City Council passed a resolution Wednesday to change the rules.
In May, a three-month pause was placed on all non-mandated boards and commissions, including the neighborhood advisory boards, due to budget constraints.
Over the hiatus, the council and staff discussed rewriting the rules in order to fix inconsistencies and outdated bylaws or rules.
A yearlong pause for all the boards was recommended in June to continue working on improvements. But the resolution passed on Aug. 13 determined that the boards and commissions would resume over the next two months and add changes as needed.
