Construction of the new Paisley Grammar School is "slightly beyond the halfway point" as Renfrewshire Council issues its latest update on the major project. ‌

The local authority has confirmed the job remains "on track" for completion in the summer of next year and said "progress is evident" at the site in Renfrew Road. ‌

That’s according to a learning estate programme update that has been included in a report to next week's education and children's services policy board meeting. ‌

Councillor Eddie Devine, who represents Paisley Southeast, said: "It's good to hear that construction has passed the halfway point and the project is still on track.

"Naturally, I hope it continues that way and it's finished on time but I welcome the progress and hope it will be a great facility for
