DENVER (KDVR) — After another day of near-record heat, relief is on the way for Denver's weather as a better chance for rain moves into the forecast.
Fire weather warnings continue until 10 p.m. Thursday for dry thunderstorms in the northern Mountains, front range foothills and high mountain valleys.
Scattered evening thunderstorms over the higher terrain will produce lightning and gusty winds but little rainfall. This could result in possible fires starting in the warning areas. Across the area, conditions remain favorable for rapid fire spread, so avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.
Weather tonight: Partly cloudy, warm
Thursday evening showers will dry up, followed by a partly cloudy night. Temperatures will stay on the warm side, onl
